Whole Healing Acupuncture

 I am  licensed acupuncturist and licensed physical therapist, specializing in five element acupuncture, & manual, energetic physical therapy techniques.

 

I earned a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Medicine in 1998. My PT focus has mainly been the rehabilitation and treatment of orthopedic injury & dysfunction, with particular interest in the correction & management of spine and pelvic biomechanical dysfunction. Although PT is not my primary modality of healing anymore, I continue to incorporate my manual skills and knowledge into my acupuncture treatments when appropriate.

In 2009,  I earned a Master of Acupuncture degree from TaiSophia Institute of Healing Arts in Laurel, MD.  I have received professional training in cupping therapy, gua-sha, auricular acupuncture, and Aroma Acu-point therapy.  My personal experience with acupuncture began at the age of 13 for the treatment of back and knee pain, and  has since been my primary healing modality for maintaining wellness and balance.

 

It is through my experience as a patient of acupuncture, and all of the energetic modalities which I have received and implement,  that I believe in the body's innate ability to heal, and in the inseparable connection between the body, mind and spirit.
